Vote Sentinel 3: Homeworld for Steam Greenlight!

Sentinel 3: Homeworld Steam Greenlight

PC gamers amongst you have probably heard of Steam, Valve’s massive digital distribution platform. They’ve recently added a feature called Steam Greenlight: any developer can submit their game for consideration, and players vote on those they’d like to see available on Steam. Naturally, we offered up the PC/Mac version of Sentinel 3: Homeworld immediately!

Sentinel 3 for PC is already available at a number of stores such as Impulse, GamersGate and Strategy First, but Steam is by far the biggest outlet available for PC games, and would bring us to a vast new audience of gamers. In a way they’ve been victims of their own success – getting a game on Steam is such a big deal that they’ve previously been flooded with submissions, making it difficult for indie devs to catch their attention (as we’ve found out first hand). Now with the launch of Greenlight it’s up to YOU, our fans, to let Steam know you want our games on their service.

If you are a Steam user and want to help us out, simply head over to the Sentinel 3: Homeworld Greenlight page and give us a thumbs-up and a favourite. We appreciate every click! If you need further incentive, here are our plans for any upcoming Steam release:

  • Campaign 2 for PC. 15 new levels, each on a unique map, plus the swanky Aurora Commander mech, new weapons, and strange new alien species including the living battleship Behemoth.
  • Steamworks integration, bringing slick Steam social features to the Homeworld.
  • A reasonable price – we’re aiming for $6, then of course there are the famous Steam sales…
  • Steam keys for players who bought the game from other outlets. We hope to be able to distribute Steam keys to those of you who can provide proof of purchase, so you don’t have to pay twice.

Thanks for your votes – we hope to see you on Steam soon!
