Looking for general advise on DLC maps

On campaign 2, second to last scenario, I cannot come close to beating it on normal difficulty. I consider myself a good tower gamer and rocketed through all previous levels but cannot manage the fast-moving parasites with ship weapons or fully-loaded laser/artillery etc. i also get the feeling that the booster does not increase tower range on the normal lasers at all. I have purchase most of the upgrades and still get slaughtered in seconds around lvl 100 if i am lucky enough to make it that far….
