On my original run I used the U-bend to slow and bomb all ground units to atoms, then built boosted beam and AA-batteries to simply overwhelm parasites and bosses. Try that.

Ugh… now my attempts to thwart the parasites caused some rocket towers to cause no visible damage and thus another barrier went down in mere seconds! I’m abandoning my command post until the rocket towers are fixed…
