Yup, upgrading Shield towers gives their shielding a significant boost. Playing Psycho with no upgrades – I really doubt it. I’ve heard of someone starting on Psycho and finishing the campaign, but they definitely spent on upgrades as they earned them.

“Good start” is a topic in itself, worthy of a new thread. If no-one complains I’ll lock this thread up in a day or two because gameplay advice should really be posted elsewhere. I’ll start up an Android progress thread soon 🙂
