I’m assuming you’ve got the top level Flamer upgrade unlocked? Personally I find the Flamer (and the Line Laser) has a massive jump in effectiveness between levels 3 and 4. I get what you mean about picking a good slot to place them – it’d be interesting to hear other people’s tactics, as they’re one of the towers that requires a fair bit of thought put into positioning them.
