PaulMemberHi, and welcome to the forums!
I’ve just tried your steps and am unable to reproduce this problem, it seems to unpause fine when I press the button. Can you please tell me what device/OS version you are running. Also, what version of Space Station are you running? (This can be found in the credits screen off the main menu).
I will continue to try and reproduce. Let me know if you have more info.
thanks!

MemberThanks for the welcome, and sorry I’m starting with something you don’t like to see.
Give me a few to retry my steps, I have to reinstall the app.
I have an iPhone 3GS, OS version 4.0.2, running game v1.2.1I’m trying this on the first mission, but first noticed this happening on missions 5-7 (7 is where I became unresponsive).
Alright, I hit pause, then the Home/Lock button, relaunching appears to work fine.
Home/Lock button with no pause appears to work fine.
OK. It appears to happen when the screen is being pressed and you exit the game with the Home button. When I do this, the game is stuck at the pause screen and unresponsive when I relaunch.
I’m reinstalling to see if I can duplicate with the Lock button. Maybe it was the lock button that caused it to keep me from using anything but save and exit, but I’m not seeing that part at the moment.Sorry for the first post’s steps being incorrect, I was going by memory from hours before as I didn’t have time to post until this morning.
New steps, for great justice (I’ll be editing the first post as well for lack of confusion):
1: Start a mission
2: Press on the screen as you press the Home button.
3: Relaunch the game.EDIT: Using the Lock button while pressing on the screen doesn’t lock the controls.
One further note – I happened to be receiving a large number of text messages and calls when I was noticing the problem, perhaps that caused the initial partial-locking of the controls, when it would only allow me to zoom in and out during gameplay.September 17, 2010 at 2:50 PM #1117
PaulMemberOK, thanks again for the extended info, and taking the time to tell us about the problem.
I have managed to reproduce it now, you are correct, I can only do it by holding down a finger on the pause button, and then pressing home at the same time, which causes the touch to get stuck.
I will work on a fix for the next update to the game. In the meantime there is a workaround you can do, so you don’t have to re-install :
– close the game and then double tap the home button to bring up the list of running apps.
– hold down the space station icon in the list so that a little red ‘-‘ button appears.
– press the ‘-‘ button and it will shut down the game.
– relaunch the gameYou won’t lose any save data doing this, you will be able to resume the game right from where you left off, but the touches will be reset.

MemberGreat, thanks.
I made some bad decisions on upgrades the first time through, so I’m not crying about having to reinstall.
Closing the game there makes sense. I didn’t really think about it.September 17, 2010 at 4:24 PM #1119
PaulMemberThis bug is now fixed, it will be included in the next update to the game
