MemberI agree on the flamethrower issue. I don’t use them at all. for final upgrade the cost vs damage does not equal or even come close. I for go it it. The only time I used it was when the game made me use it to teach me where to place it.
Line beams are almost no good too since they really only work well on long rows and do very little damage even with a booster and fully upgraded. But they are the ones I use in replacement of flamethrower.January 19, 2012 at 1:49 AM #2115Hunter 1
MemberYeah, I don’t use the Line Laser, Bomb, or Flamethrower towers anymore; the Artillery tower from the second campaign will mow through swarmers once fully upgraded, and it’s not too shabby agains other ground targets, either. Add in a range second only to Sniper towers…
Anyways, back on topic: my question is, do towers that fire multiple shots when upgraded, like the Bomb, Missile, and Beam towers use the shown damage value for each individual shot, or is that value for each group of shots?

MemberWhat is this "second campaign" you speak of? I am on Android phone maybe we don’t have that yet? I beat campaign mode on all levels, easy, medium, hard, and psycho modes. I also did all the classic modes too and now I have all the achievements so is there something I am missing? I downloaded all the data packs for the game I don’t know what else to do to get this "second campaign.

MemberOn iOS, there is a purchasable Campaign 2. It includes two new towers, two new Sentinal weapons, 15 new maps, one new common enemy, and one new boss enemy. Oh yeah, and the new Aurora armor.
If you don’t have it as an option, then it’s time to bug the devs about it, because it’s very nice.

PaulMemberOK here goes, I’ll try and clear up some of these questions
"stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:-Laser: Does Power Shot do anything other than more damage, which is already reflected in the damage stat?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
nope, it’s just a powerful shot."stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:-Flamethrower: Does Chemical Flame do anything other than more damage, which is already reflected in the damage stat?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
the chemical flame burns for longer (8 sec from 3 sec) and the damages shown are DPS, so the total damage done is much higher."stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:-Booster: Does Super Boost do anything other than increase the % increase?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
correct, super boost just increases the boost value."stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:-Line Laser: Maybe the same question, but I’m not sure since I haven’t progressed that far yet.[/quote:q74uj2x5]
the top tier Line Laser also has a MUCH wider beam, allowing it to hit more enemies"stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:What does the damage rating of a slow tower represent?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
10 damage represents one second of slow. So upgraded towers slow for longer. An enemy that is slowed will move and attack at 40% of normal speed."stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:Does a commander that’s been killed respawn faster than a commander that is on the brink of death? I.e. if I want to heal my commander, is it faster to let him die?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
An interesting question, and not something I’ve ever tried out
It would depend on your stats, as your health stat will control your health maximum and regen rates.
"stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:Does score do anything, like go into calculation of XP or credits? Or is it just for fun?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
Score is purely for fun, or for competing online if you post the scores to Openfeint."stratego":q74uj2x5 wrote:How do you read the previews of the upcoming enemies?[/quote:q74uj2x5]
The previews show you the type of enemy coming and its RELATIVE strength at that point in the game. All enemies get stronger as you get further into the game. The bars displayed are only a rough indication, they don’t change throughout the game as they are always the same for a particular type of enemy. It’s tough trying to convey all of this information in the game, it’s a complicated game and it’s always a struggle to display things to the player without confusing or cluttering the screen. Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you’re enjoying the game!
