    With a little more hunting I’ve found the cause of the problem…

    Openfeint features a logout button, once I logged out Space Station:Frontier defaulted back the guest account, the profile I’d been using previously. Perhaps the game should have a switch back to guest account button somewhere more obvious.

    Yep, Space Station: Frontier supports multiple players on one device defined by OpenFeint login, plus a "Guest" account with no OpenFeint. This allows people to share a device without sharing progress.

    Good to see you found your station again, we’ll bear your comments in mind.
