Repair DroneMemberThanks for your suggestions – if I remember correctly you also emailed them, did you get our reply? Whether you did or not, it’s good to have them posted here for your fellow players to comment on 🙂
You seem mostly focused on spicing up “expert” play like very long Endless games or making Psycho even Psycho-er – do you find things a bit lacking when you hit that point in Sentinel 3?

MemberThanks Repair Drone for your reply to my post and email. I did find that Psycho could have been Psycho-er including the final maps even though I didn’t have my commander fully upgraded. I love the Endless mode but as I was able to use saving money early and the interest gained to my advantage (which is feature I love) I had my screen full of fully upgraded snipers, boosters and slow towers and had heaps of cash but nothing else to spend it on. This is why having final massive upgrades (even ones that are cost prohibitive unless you have already filled the screen others at the old max level) and have the difficulty increase significantly compared to earlier rounds (especially on Psycho). Also, I have loved reading about the stronghold and other new developments to this 4th edition, it sounds brilliant!

PaulMemberHi!
Just thought I’d jump in here to say thanks for your suggestions. Sentinel 4 is completely rebalanced compared to Sentinel 3. Like you say, in the late game there was very little strategic choice as everyone just uses a screen full of sniper towers. They are the most expensive and therefore the best. But this time the towers will be more evenly matched.
Also, there are new classes of tower that are very expensive and powerful, but these have other downsides to them to make them a choice rather than the only outcome 😉

MemberHey Paul, Thanks for your message and info about the new game. It sounds like you are making some exciting changes for the fourth instalment especially adding a much more powerful tower! I don’t know whether the strategy I used in the 3rd one on Psycho will work still on the new game and I hope the new edition is not made far too difficult (the previous difficulty was fine especially in early rounds) so that you are forced to spend heaps of real money to get anywhere, as that is a complete game wrecker for me. I am happy to pay out money for the initial purchase and maps etc. If others like the idea and agree that massive final upgrades would make it even better then I hope that this may still be considered. I have gotten a few of my friends on to great TD games I like and have already told some if them about this one coming out soon. Thanks again!
