[quote:3nlqp5pe]1. How do you get rid of those pesky Athaopods? Nothing seems to slow them down and I have a bunch of snipers, lasers and the only thing that annihilates them is the Orbital laser. What strategies are there to get rid of this pesky creature?[/quote:3nlqp5pe]
During the campaign I’ve managed to use the "laser machine gun" ( several beam towers near a barrier ) coupled with Rage and the commanders sniper to kill them. Try the aerial slow towers, as well.
On the Endless the bosses have ridiculous amounts of health so fry them to ashes.
In what situation are you having trouble against them, specifically?
[quote:3nlqp5pe]2. I have finished the entire campaign. If I want to play again, it doesnt automatically move me to the next map, instead it stays at the same place unless I click to the next map. Is there a way to reset the campains so I can start all over again? [/quote:3nlqp5pe]
After you finish the campaign it doesn’t progress any more, so the menu behaves differently.
Resetting the campaign isn’t a bad idea, though.
[quote:3nlqp5pe]3. I have a few weapons I dont need and would like to change them back and get new ones. Now it needs me to get 5000 credits to do that. Yikes. In hindsight I would have chosen better weapons.[/quote:3nlqp5pe]
You bought slots, not individual weapons. Just drag the weapons you want to the slots in the Armory to rearrange or change them. Same goes for SENTINEL weapons.
[quote:3nlqp5pe]4. And finally is there some hints and tips to this game that the developers can give us to make us better?[/quote:3nlqp5pe]
So you don’t want to play the game yourself?
There are some hints and tips on the forums but your best bet is us other players. Keep asking questions and we’ll try to help. The developers don’t want to reveal all the secrets, or they wouldn’t be any fun to discover.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not looking for all hints. This forum certainly doesn’t have much compared to other games I have played. Usually I can trawl fan based forums but I can’t find any. Strategies different people use will be nice. That’s doesn’t mean you give the game away.

In endless what is the max waves you have endured?

Usually under 150, if I remember correctly, which I probably don’t…

For ground troops I usual use a few slow towers and a good amount of fully upgraded cluster bombs.
For parasites, non-upgraded slows to bunch the first three together with the next ones and just AA them senseless.
For bosses… well, good amounts of beams but their high HP in Endless makes the orbital laser the only option against them for me in later waves. I just can’t do any damage later on.

I also have ramped up my commanders Morale skill. Huge area makes a big difference.

We’ve got some basic tips on the load screen, which I’ve got lying around somewhere. If you have OpenFeint enabled you can also see the tower layouts of High Score holders from the scoreboards and get some ideas – hit the green film strip by the score. There’s also the TouchArcade thread at http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=74306 which might have a few suggestions. Anything more specific feel free to ask!

Here are the load screen tips, which are probably way more basic than what you’re looking for, but could be helpful for some:

    [quote:39p5ovmb]
    – It is possible to build defenses while the game is paused.
    – Credits and Commander XP are earned in Campaign and Endless games
    – Press the green icon on the scoreboard to see that game’s turret layout
    – Repair drones harvest resources to earn you money when they aren’t repairing
    – Earn score bonuses by keeping your structures at full health.
    – Booster turrets increase the damage, range and attack rate of nearby turrets.
    – More Credits and Commander XP are earned when playing at harder difficulties.
    – Commander abilities must be purchased from the commander screen in order to use them.
    – Use Sentinel Weaponry strategically to save money for future turrets.
    – Use the Commander’s Jet Jump ability to move him away from danger if he is low on health.
    – Each time your Commander gains a level you earn points you can use to increase his stats.
    – All of your weapons and abilities earned in the Campaign can be used in Endless games.
    – Extra turret and weapon slots can be purchased in the Armory with Credits.
    – Multiple Sentinel Weapons can be activated at the same time.
    – The Commander’s Strength attribute increases the damage of all melee attacks and abilities.
    – The Commander’s Shot Damage attribute increases the damage of all ranged attacks and abilities.
    – Classic mode uses preset weapons, abilities and Commander level for a test of pure skill.
    – Classic mode maps must be completed on Assault mode to unlock the next Classic map.
    – Use combinations of turrets that complement each other such as a Bomb and Slow turret nearby.
    – Increasing the Commander’s Morale will increase the range and magnitude of his Morale Aura.
    – Upgrading a turret is often more economical than buying a new one.

I have played through easy, medium and Hard. Working my way through psycho. What a pain. The trick is to start small and recycle. I use the very last level on Hard to level up my Commander. It is Tedious but it works. The trick for the bosses, ANY of the bosses is to slow them down! In the beginning, find a good choke point where you can blast away with Bombs. You will definitely want to get the three repair drones out there so you can get some cash flowing. Do this once you feel like you are keeping the little buggers at bay for a few waves. Then, once you have a decent equilibrium or… balance of power, start building sniper turrets. Upgrade them and boost them with power boosters. a fully upgraded power booster will give you an additional 300 of damage to a fully upgraded sniper turret. (See my attached image) Like the cat said earlier, get your slow towers for both air and ground out there. The winged flyers are easily taken out with fully upgraded missile batteries.

The only weapons you will need in this game are laser, bomb, slow (Both air and ground), sniper, booster, and missile. Anything else is a waste of time and money.

    Hope this helps.
