Ah, the Amazon version doesn’t have cloud syncing/saving, sorry!

If you haven’t already done so, try fully rebooting the new device and restarting the game. If that doesn’t help, are you playing the Google or Amazon release of the game? Also, what OS version are you running? Ta.

Sentinel 4’s a bit trickier in this regard – I remember Shunt was very obviously a great Endless map, but in 4 you have to consider the slots available for larger towers, which ones you have upgraded, etc. A few ideas off the top of my head:

    – 23 Crystal has limited slots for large towers, but it’s got a sort of spiral layout going on which means enemies will pass towers more than once.

    – 20 Cliffhanger has a long path with one entrance, and lots of space for 2x2s at the start of the path.

    – 24 Behemoth has a nice big open space in the middle once you’ve cleared out the eggs, but it has two entrances and once the barriers are down the Stronghold is left pretty vulnerable.

    – Campaign 2 level 5 is pretty cool if you fill it full of Orions, that’s my go-to “screenshots for publicity” gimmick 🙂

I’d be interested to hear what you discover – if anyone else has suggestions I’d liek to hear them too!

Sentinels 1 and 2 were built on a very iOS specific game engine, and porting them across to Android would be a massive time-consuming headache, unfortunately 🙁 A lot of Sentinel players also like Space Station: Frontier, so maybe have a crack at that.

There’s no further Sentinel news right now, but keep your eyes peeled – depending on what you’re looking for we may have something for you soon.

Thanks Rogue, we’ve spotted the problem and are working on a fix 🙂

Hi Rogue. Firstly, is your copy of the game fully up to date from the store? There used to be a crash if you tried to access the stronghold without the repair drone slotted, but that should be fixed in the current version.

If you’re fully up to date, let us know what stronghold abilities you have equipped – it sounds like something there is causing problems.

How are your Armoury upgrades looking? The hefty bosses are best countered by the big single target damage towers (the Colossus being the obvious example), so upping the damage and range on them will help. Then you can pile on the damage multipliers – remember Armoury upgrades for Shielders can also improve their % boost.

Something that might also help is getting your Colossi built well before you need them. Even though they’re really not good against small, numerous enemies, sniping an arachnid every 10 seconds will get them levelled up ready for the bosses, and levels make a big difference.

Carrier Mantises are also super slow, so slowing them even further can give your towers more time to work.

Commander max level is 20,  as in Sentinel 3. Sorry, there’s no respec/retrain option at the moment!

Okay, the Juggernaut in-app purchase is now available – sorry about the delay!

We’re aware of a problem with the new update on iOS that prevents the purchase of the new Juggernaut Commander. A fix is on the way!

The Orion Tower unlocks upon beating level 4 of the new mini-campaign. You can access the first of the new levels once you’ve beaten level 5 of the original campaign. Enjoy!

We’re waaaay ahead of you, we’ve got a new content update in approval! In fact if you were AndroidUser instead you’d have it already 😉

I’ll make a proper post about the update in a bit, but the run down is:

    – Five free new maps.

    – One tower, one path deployable, one ship weapon, also free.

    – One new Commander as a $0.99 IAP

Sorry for the delay getting back to you – you posted just as everyone set off for holidays, bad timing! Can I just quickly check the following:

    – What OS version are you running?

    – Is you Game Center account email address the same as your device’s active Apple account?

    – Are you using Game Center in Sandbox mode? (If you don’t know what this is, the answer is no)

    Cheers

If you want to quit the game during a level and resume later, just use the home button to send the game to the background. When you restart it’ll either immediately pick up where you left off, or if the OS has shut the game down in the mean time there will be a “Resume” option at the main menu.

Yes, iCloud should transfer your save across, and the save files should be visible under Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage > Sentinel 4. Double check that you’ve got iCloud saving enabled both in game and on your device, and if everything looks OK try rebooting your new iPad (if you haven’t already).

We’ve also seen at least one case of this problem fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If that doesn’t help, let us know what OS version both your devices are running and, if any of them are on iOS 8, whether you’ve upgraded your iCloud to iCloud Drive.
